A rumour a day keeps the Apple IPhone 5 away

Is it part of an elaborate publicity campaign to keep the launch date of the Apple IPhone 5 a secret?  It certainly appears to be working!  Almost every summer Apple announces that a new IPhone will be arriving in the shops, and this year has been no different.  Electronic components distributors are currently delivering ship loads of new cool features so that (rumour has it) the release of IPhone 5 (iOS 5) can be completed in the autumn.

IPhone aficionados can look forward to iOS 5 being made fully available offering  compatibility with iPhone 4, 3GS, IPads one and two and IPod touch, generations 3 and 4.  Apparently, we can expect over two hundred new features that the free Ios 5 software will propel the mobile operating system into the stratosphere.

Gadget enthusiasts will be rewarded for their patience with significant improvements in the quality of the display, camera, processor technology and storage.

Electronic components distributors have been working hard to improve other parts of the phone too.  There’s a possibility the iPhone 5 might well work on GSM as well as CDMA networks in the USA.  In the world of cell/smart phones, there are two main competing network technologies – Global System and Code Division Multiple Access.  How great will it be if the iPhone 5 can work on both?  Another rumour making the rounds is that the IPhone 5 will have the dual-core A5 processor that, at the moment, powers the iPad 2.  As well as that there’s the possibility of “face detection” and dual mode network.  Exciting stuff.
