The iPhone 4

With an iPhone 4 in your hands you have great power and continuous pleasure.
I truly believe it’s at 1st place in mobile technology with capabilities that are worlds ahead of its competition.  With over 300 000 mobile apps at your fingertips, you control everything.

Apple really got it right with this mobile, and its functions spanning across the board.  Social networking, GPS, WiFi and 3G connectivity, email, media player, visual voicemail, video & camera, games and the list goes on.
But what really brought it to the forefront is its multitouch-screen and virtual keyboard.  It made touchscreen phones popular and cool.  Eventually everything will be touchscreen and we will be safe in the knowledge that the iPhone had a huge hand in preparing us for these future changes.  A friend of mine stood at a cash machine for 5 minutes the other day pushing the screen, dumbfounded, wondering why the fossil wasn’t doing anything.  It’s most certainly the way of the future.
The latest iPhone 4 with its new Face-time function is just another glimpse into the future of technology.  With our busy lives and all the travel, what could be better than seamlessly chatting to your loved ones face to face.
Another favourite feature of mine is being able to run multiple apps without disturbing the performance of your primary app, while iSO 4 still kicks out the best possible battery life.  A relief and much needed feature once again catering to our busy lives.
Not only is it smarter but it’s also sexier with an un-insulated stainless steel frame acting as the devices antenna.  Although I have heard that there can be signal loss when the phone is held on the bottom left corner. I guess with trying to perfect every aspect of a phone there can sometimes be oversights like these.   There is however 512MB of memory which is 4 times that of the original iPhone. It has the new Retina display screen, said to be the most vibrant and crisp phone screen ever.  Because the pixel density is so high, the human eye is unable to see individual pixels.
iOS 4 is like having the most advanced computer operating system in your mobile.  And most importantly it’s stable and efficient.  Face-time again is further proof of this.  By using both cameras, one of the microphones, the display and WiFi connection in perfect harmony.  It also secures your data when being used for business by encrypting it at all ends. Whether laying dormant on your mobile, during transmission and on iTunes.  It even allows secure connection to VPN protocols.
It comes loaded with security settings such as parental controls, passcode locks and even an application called My iPhone that allows you to locate you’re lost/stolen phone on a map, lock its screen, and delete all your data remotely.  And when your phone is reunited with you, it can all be restored from your last backup.
I always hear people talking about being user-friendly.  In the past user friendly simply meant easy navigation on the device, but iPhone have really put emphasis on the user, providing voice-over screen reading and 30 wireless Braille displays for the blind. As well as easy switching between 30 different languages, 50 different keyboard layouts which support diacritic marks on characters, hand writing input for Chinese, and a dictionary supporting all 50 languages.
Other questions that came up during my search for opinions is whether or not the iPhone has ever been considered to be a serious gaming system? What I discovered is that there will always be conflicting opinions when it comes to this topic.  I think it’s a good gaming system and has a lot of variety when it comes to gaming, but I don’t think it will ever satisfy PSP and Xbox players around the world.
Is the iPhone 4 a good GPS unit? Is another question floating around, and although the iPhone isn’t new to GPS it has greatly approved according to the public.  Not only does it have improved accuracy and display, it also has a few cool features such as being able to pinpoint your location and send it to a friend so they can find you at a meeting point, or being able to search for places using simple words. If you’re hungry, you simple type in ‘food’ and it will highlight all the nearest coffee shops and restaurants. Pretty nifty as far as GPS units go.
I’m positive Apple will continue to kick out amazing upgrades, but this Smartphone is so close to perfection it’ll be hard to beat.
