My First was:
Twisted at QuakeCon 2005.
- Removed and enlarged the side window.
- Replaced the stock HDD and Power LED lights with red LEDs.
- Removed front aluminum panels and replaced with back painted lexan, lighted the lexan with 4 red LEDs per panel.
- Replaced the stock Thermaltake LOGO with a Tazz LOGO.
- Modded a Matrix Orbital MX233 in place of the stock Hardcano 9.
- Built a custom fan controller to control the case fans.
- Modded a set of Sunbeamtechs case feet (blue LEDs to red LEDs), powering them from a custom PCI bracket utilizing RCA connections.
- Removed the stock harddrive rack and built two custom hdd racks out of lexan and lighted them with 3 red LEDs each, added in 1 Stock AMD processor fan per hdd cage for cooling, lights and fans run off of a RCA connection that is mounted between the two cages, the fans run at 5 volts to keep the noise level down as much as possible.
- Cut top and bottom windows to match the design of the front panel. Lower window is clear, top window is back painted red and lighted with 2 red LEDs.
- Painted the inside of the case red.
- Painted the exterior of the case gloss black (so that the front panel would match the rest of the case).
- Shortened the X-Connect cables so they were a straight run from the PSU to the device, kept the stock look of the cables.
- Installed rounded IDE cables and some sleeving on what existing cables where left.
- Removed 3.5 Floppy mounting and modified its cage to mount the Vantec water cooling pump, and then mounted the Reservoir to the bottom of the case.
- Have one custom Tazz fan grill on the top of the case (provided by fellow modder Sheldog23).
- The water blocks for the water cooling had to be modified for installation and proper cooling, I took the VGA cooling a step further by keeping the stock fan in place and modifying the stock ram sink to allow for the water blocks clearance. GPU is water cooled while the ram stays Air Cooled.
