Post subject:  My first mod
Hi all, I just wanted to add my first mod.
This was a computer I built for a customer. The case is a RAIDMAX Astro ATX-268WB Black 0.7mm Japanese SECC ATX. I really liked this case and the customer choose the colors.

The inside is a bloody mess and I had to go back to make it look better.

But, it glows pretty good.

Well that's it. The only real problem I have besides wire management, is the metallic paint I used for the top and back panel. It's a Rust-Oleum brand. It's like I couldn't get the paint to stop smudging and leaving finger imprints. I used the paint on antother panel I had and let it dry for a week and it still left finger prints. Maybe, I should let the paint dry for 3 weeks :roll:

Here is my CM 690 Blue Mod. This case taught me allot as all case mods do. There is allot i would love to do differently if i did it all over again but i have too many other ideas to do another CM 690 case right now.

Heres my very first real mod.
I just got a call one day about a strange case my local PC repair guy ended up with, he was practically scared of it and when I went to see what up I see this...

SPEW!!

After many hours, moneys, blood, and cursing, I now have this...

Nothing major done to the case itself, there were modded holes already, I just took advantage of them. Replaced the plexy (it was melted from the fire that the guys water cooling unit produced) and then painted her a more appealing color.
Of course then added all the shiney doo-dads.

That's a pretty fab transformation on that case. Nice job! Yikes, a PSU fire?

Not to my knowledge, the machine was gutted when I got there but the fire appeared to be from above the CPU area.

The acrylic waterblock looked instead like a dead and decaying jellyfish, I really wish I'd have taken it too, as something of a badge of honor for this poor case.

I only guess that the owner had overclocked it WAY past anything it should be able to handle, then with the insane amounts of dustbunnies having a barn dance on his radiator caused it to overheat to the max.

I might have been able to salvage some of the other pieces of the system but the amount of cleaning I would have had to do might not have been worth it.
Picture a 120mm radiator with an afro. yes it even had a comb in it...
