I tried some of that engine enamel.. Ho boy. That black is looking cool. Might have to grab some that too. Liking the green LEDs too.

The fan controller came stock with Blue leds I switched them out for the green like i did on the purple people eater project that is yet to be completely finished.

fair warning when using the engine enamel take your time spraying and dont let the paint get cold. or you will end up with a charcoal color.

Yeah I have the same fan controller.

Thanks for the tips with the paint. Thought I fear it may be too late. I might have to sand it down and try again. I let it sit outside overnight and it wasn't terribly cold, but we'll see. Seems ok so far. Thanks again, Ric.

Small Update time. I did most light and panel fittings. I started painting the side and top panels Friday. got 5 coats of color on them and then put 4 coats of matte clear on them today. and handle them with care. out of the 4 digital cameras i have in this house Both have dead batteries its killing me so the pictures are far and few.

But here is a nice light coat of self etching primer

these are the top and two side panels.

I didnt get any pictures with the color on but here is the uv lighting going blitzkrig ...

as soon as i can get some hardware in and do some fitting I can work on getting the other mods planned for this project.

Very nice.

Question for you:

Does the self etching primer have the same effect on Plastic?

ok here are a few updated pictures.

I really wanted to use some of the Diamond plate film that Bill so graciously sponsored on this Build that. I put it to pretty good use.
Thank you again Bill.

but the fan controller had a issue so after finding the problem i resolved it ...

anyway here are the finished pictures of the fan controller.
