amd is going to take some time to get it's manufacturing system down for phenom, then the chips will really show their teeth, core 2 improved after launch as well, the first batches could clock nearly as well and used much more power to do so that the core 2 duo's we know today.

that fan controller does look good and as most of the people on this forum are primarily concerned with their computer looking great i know what you mean. now while they may be completely unrelated to the controller knobs in terms of function i like the way that these look, just an idea for when you design the new knobs.

Oh wow - thats some time away... I wonder if thats when we'll see the faster chips out.

Bill - you have no clue as to how many ideas you give me from this build. I can't wait till I can get back into this!

tbh, It's a comfortable and relaxing feeling James. Now I can take the project further beyond what I was thinking one month ago. We can run and test the system for awhile, with the CoolIT copu cooler too!

Roll with it James! Inspiring eachother here is what it's all about man.

Now you can do the hydraulic side doors with the whole "whoooshing" sound as they open. Even have some smoke blow out when it does... :D

thats would be TITS Rich 8)

Have new progress photos to share with you, heres the side access panel, remember this panel was milled in 1/2" thick 6061 aluminum! Notice how the TT SwordM's factory bezel nicely matchs our new side panel? The center disc is the base or "tumbler" for the airlock latch.. more on that later

More photo updates soon, stay tuned!

I'm tellin you Bill, make that tumbler in the middle turn, and talk to ScopEDog about the hydraulics he is using in FrameSTOR23. That would work

Actually sc0pe is using electric actuators. But I know what you mean, that would be sick!

I love how the panels match the front bezel! This is looking like a serious contender for Mod Of The Year! 8)

The thickest case panels I've ever seen are on Zalman's tank of a case. They are only 5-7mm. http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/cooling/view_tnn01.html
This thing is gonna be a fortress!

I haven't heard from Eddie in ages (ScopEdog), is he still alive ...or just playing WoW?

I looked at actuators w/ remotes right after talking w/ AMD. The top panel was screaming for it. I called Twizted about help with a micro receiver top avoid one of those boombox type antennas. Keep it real stealth So the intention of a auto lift panel was there since day one.

@ Chris, what you see in the photos is surprising light.. then again, I'm used to lifting around monster cases. I was spoiled by the Qmicra ...lol!

I talked to Eddie last night he is in Peru dealing with some family issues and should be back on the forums by the first of the year.

Nice stuff Bill, this is starting to take shape now, but your really have to remove the door on the back, i think it looks cheap.

Thanks Ric! hope everything goes well for Eddie.

I like the back door, nobody knows which is the front or back of the case! I thought I'd taken stills of the door open, but I cannot find them atm. I definately have video I'll be posting tho.

Everything except for the black anodized chassis will be chrome plated. I "may" powdercoat the chassis, but I have to really think about what color I want.. it would have to be very unique.. otherwise I like the idea of everthing being black and stealthed out of site.. it's very easy to hide black

The door came together beautifully. It closes perfectly.. It's the first time I've seen a cabinet style access door on a computer case that functioned and looked this good. Do not be surprised if a China manufacturer copies it.

We'll show how it opens in the next video segment. More Close ups of the panel, Thank you for letting me know what you think of everything! It fuels everyone involved with this project!

the tumbler for the rotary latch, fabricated brackets for the new panels, milled features
