Ghost Rider MEDIA PC is inspired by the Ghost Rider character by Marvel Comics.

ESSENTIAL GHOST RIDER VOL. 1
The Story: When orphaned stunt-show star Johnny Blaze discovers his adoptive father Crash Simpson is dying of a rare blood disease, he barters his immortal soul for a miracle cure. The trade-off ultimately leaves him bound to the demon Zarathos, and their melding of spirits would manifest itself every night in the form of Ghost Rider, the most supernatural super hero of all!

I was a collector of Ghost Rider comics in College so when Bill suggested this theme I was all over it! The vision on this project is mostly Bill's and I am really enjoying that. It has allowed me to focus on my fabrication skills and provide some design input when needed rather than being "in charge" all the time. I have been waiting for an opportunity to work on a project in cooperation with Bill and I have to admit that we worked well together. We got a remarkable amount of work done on the first night.

The cover of this beast will have a pretty complicated design of interlocking panels. I am working on a sketch now and will try to post a rough draft later this week.

In addtion to the completed work you see in the first video, we were also able to start building the templates we will use to cut the side panels. I started with cardboard templates so that we can get the contour of the joint around the wheel rim just right. We want the finished panel to hug those curves so it looks like a nice factory finish.

As Stu stated, it's the first time we've been able to work on a project together. We did more in those 3 hours than I anticipated. It was awesome!

This joint mod project was the initial seed that lead to our warehouse workspace, this discussion forum and ultimately our new website themodnation.com

It needs CHAINS! Big freakin' industrial chain. Bonus points if you can thread the KB/Mouse wires through a big piece of chain.

I'm loving this. Can't wait for more.

Very very cool guys. It is looking good so far. The two of you working together is a scary thing, very scary.

I have a suggestion though.... for the flames, you know those halloween decorations that have the red, yellow, and orange tissue papser with a fan underneath and a light to make it look like flames, do that but use some really thin silk so it lasts longer.

Then the flames would look real. And be moving. And that would rock.

Anticipation is throught the roof on this one.

An idea for the mounting on the wall....Can you fab a pair of brackets that can thread through the original spoke holes? Just an idea.

Good luck!

I just saw the commercial for this movie, it looks like it has some cheezy moments, I like the actor they choose as he has had some great roles in other movies but I dont really like the CG work they did for ghost rider, I think they could have spent more time on that, but overall looks like it will be a great movie to checkout so I cant wait to see how this case develops with anticipation of the movie and this ^^

uh oh me likes :D. this thing is going to be huge when done. i didnt notice if you guys brought this up when thinking about the ways to mount it on the wall but i think some chains would go well with that theme. what will be the estimated weight of this thing? that rim looks pretty heavy

We really appreciate you guys fueling our progression.

I respect SONY for recruiting Peter Fonda to play Mephisto. Johnny Blaze's Chopper looks very much like Peters from Easy Rider. That was intentional I'm sure. The project derived the majority of inspiration from the Ghost Rider comic book versus the movie.

Flame F/X & Lighting is on the back burner until we get the structure finalized.

Dima, your suggestion to use chain for mounting it on the wall :thumleft:

I'm ordering the 12" LCD 2nite from EarthLCD.com and researching some options for hinging the cover onto the rim.

Stus working on some sketches for the cover. Heres a birds eye view of the layout so far.

Bill and Stu, you guys going to sleeve the PSU?

Or will the PSU cabling be hidden?

If you did sleeve the PSU, fan trails, etc.

I would use UV Red sleeving w/ 4-inch UV lights.
