Another Insane Case Mod by Mnpctech.com

Aerocool's Coolview Case
Image

Brainstormin.. I rarely draw out ideas, but they were requested by the customer.
Image

This little Dragon will be inspiration for a small side window
Image

You've may heard me rave about Evercoat before.. Haven't ya? :Its fiberglass bodyfiller reinforced with Kevlar. It dries quick! Less than 30mins and it's stronger than Bondo.. You can find Evercoat at most Autobody supply shops..
Image

I grabbed an old Addtronics panel (2mm thick) and made an overlay for the Aerocool's window panel. It was agreed Aerocool's stock window is lame. Now that I got this nifty overlay, I'll mount it on stand-offs and cover up the Aerocool window. Then, I'll cut a sillouette dragon design with my Dremel. (Inspired by lying Dragon on the "Moonrunner" display) How about Scales on the Dragon?

After the dragon sillouette was cut, I applied 3 layers of Evercoat filler over a 15 min period, then let it cure for 30 mins.. Then I inserted the Dremel bit #114 and carved big grooves in the filler....

"Would you like to stroke my Dragon?" :D

Porthole/Gate w/ Rune design... The rune design will be laser etched in the acrylic

Laser etched Rune design in acrylic inside Machined Billet Window.

Laser cut from 1/8 thick Fluorescent Green cast acrylic, this Honeycomb grill is for the 120mm exhaust..

Props to Mrs Mnpctech for the grill design :queen:

Working on these accent plates for the top handles..

This WoW text will be laser etched in the 2 Fluorescent Acrylic inserts

Image

I rarely sketch mods, but it's for the customer. Layout for top panel

Image

Matte Black Finish, now its ready for Airbrushing
Image

Image

Image

This is the top window/blowhole... The inspiration was some sorta Sci-Fi theme power source with electrodes encircling it

Image

Remember the theme? insert: deep announcer voice "The Glow from Within"

Lin airbrushed metallic green with white electrode discharge around the window edges

With all due respect Bill, I have a couple of things to say.
Amazing craftmanship aside, the dragon seems a bit out of place (looks more like a chinese dragon), also the green rear fan grill. The hexagonal pattern in the grill doesn't seem to fit within the theme.

The EL Strip is cool, IMO.

This is one of my favorite Mods that Bill has done. The attention to detail, which is one of the things that sets Bill apart from us mere modding mortals, is insane and the creativity off the charts.

I bow down to your modding greatness, again. I can sometimes come up with ideas as cool as yours, but have yet been able to make the vision reality....

That rune portal is the bomb. I was going to do a D&D theme mod for my father-in-law, but after seeing this... I think I'll be ripping off some ideas! Fantastic Bill, I don't know why I haven't seen this mod of your before today. Superb. Yeah, the dragon could be more "fantasy"-like, but it works. What would have been totally killer would be some chainmail fan grilles... yeah, you know that would've rocked!

Did I mention I'm going to use some of these ideas? :)
